Description
An original Mykaiel belt built around a hand-cast buckle inspired by old harness hardware.
Each buckle is molded and cast one at a time with Mark Lerch, a fifth-generation jewelry caster from a long-standing Concho Valley family. Several are made, but no two come out the same. The surface, edge, weight, and patina shift slightly with each pour.
That is the point.
The buckle is simple, heavy, and made to feel like working hardware. Not decorative hardware. Not something ordered from a catalog.
It is set on glossy water buffalo hide with a dark grain and natural strength. The leather is quiet so the buckle can carry the piece.
Original hardware. Real hide. Made in small numbers in West Texas.
